Editorial policy

How CZITAPP sources, verifies and updates information.

The goal is useful, attributable comparison—not manufactured certainty.

Source hierarchy

Official NCSC and IASME material is preferred for scheme rules. Provider-owned pages are used for provider-specific prices, services and delivery claims. Secondary reporting may provide context but should not override a more authoritative primary source.

Provider evidence

Published prices are preserved as stated: “from”, ranges and packages are not converted into a misleading single figure. Where information cannot be verified, it should be labelled unknown or not currently verified rather than guessed.

Reviews and updates

Material factual pages should show a publication or substantive update date. Automated source monitoring can identify possible changes, but a human review is required before provider facts are updated.

Commercial independence

Referral, affiliate or sponsorship arrangements must be disclosed and must not purchase a higher organic comparison position. Commercial routing is separate from the evidence methodology.

Corrections

Material errors should be corrected promptly once supported by reliable evidence. See the corrections policy for the reporting route.

AI-assisted editorial work

AI tools may assist with research organisation, drafting, classification or technical workflows. Material cybersecurity guidance, commercial comparisons and factual claims should still be checked against appropriate sources before publication. AI output is not treated as a source of truth.

Human review

Material provider facts, product claims, prices, certification statements and substantive updates require human review before they are represented as verified CZITAPP content. Automated source monitoring may flag a change but should not silently convert a vendor claim into an editorial conclusion.

Sponsored content and conflicts

Sponsored placements or paid content, if accepted, should be identified as commercial. Affiliate or referral relationships should be disclosed without allowing compensation to determine an unsupported editorial conclusion or organic ranking.

Product evaluation

CZITAPP distinguishes desk research, vendor documentation, third-party evidence and hands-on testing. Hands-on testing is only claimed when it actually occurred and the method can be described. See the research methodology.
